Meet the Team: Brittany Kilner
We’re delighted to welcome Brittany Kilner to Aberdein Considine as a Senior Conveyancing Solicitor, based across our Banchory and Stonehaven offices. To help everyone get to know her a little better, we asked Brittany some quick questions about her background, career highlights, and life outside the office.
What is your area of expertise?
Property Law
What’s your background in Residential Conveyancing?
I initially studied Law & Management at The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen before completing a second honours degree (LLB Law), graduating in 2015. After the Diploma, I worked in property sales for a year and then began a traineeship focused on conveyancing with a local firm. I’ve been lucky to work across both Aberdeen and the Shire and have now been qualified for 6 years.
What attracted you to Aberdein Considine?
Aberdein Considine is widely recognised as a leading firm with a strong local reputation for supporting clients through purchase and sale transactions. When I saw a solicitor position advertised locally, the opportunity seemed too good to miss, especially as I live just 15 minutes away. I’d also built a great rapport with solicitors at the firm over the years, so it already felt familiar.
What’s a career or personal highlight you’re particularly proud of?
One of the highlights of my career has been the ongoing opportunity to help people navigate the process of selling and buying property. I take real pride in making the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. It's a great honour to play a part in their property story.
If you didn’t work in law, what career might you have chosen?
I have a keen interest in interior design. Having renovated a 120+ year-old cottage in the countryside, my design skills have definitely been put to the test!
Tea or coffee?
Both
Early riser or night owl?
Used to be a night owl… but now I have a small child!
